The Role: Sales Manager
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the smooth running of our dealership's Sales Department. As part of a robust team, you will play a crucial role in propelling our business towards continuous success. You will guide your clients through every step of their journey, from their initial test drive to final delivery.
Your responsibilities will span a wide range, including but not limited to:
- Guiding and evaluating the performance of our New and Pre-Owned Automotive Sales personnel
- Gauging and ensuring the effectiveness of each sales representative's marketing activities
- Preparing and presenting department forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Overseeing digital merchandising and marketing of the sales department
- Coordinating the database mining process
- Monitoring department profitability and implementing corrective measures when necessary
- Managing the vehicle lot and merchandise
- Collaborating seamlessly with other departments to ensure operational excellence
- Providing leadership, coaching, and mentorship to staff members
- Ensuring customer satisfaction and assisting sales consultants with customer follow-ups
- Executing any other duties as required
- Proven experience in achieving sales targets
- In-depth knowledge of dealership financial operations
- 3-5 years of automotive sales experience
- Prior experience as a team leader, mentor, or coach
- Knowledge of the PBS DMS
- Familiarity with vAuto
- Hands-on experience with Auto Alert
- Understanding of key performance indicators such as SRP/VDP, inventory turns, return on sales, etc.
- Experience in car dealership management
